I have been a participant in NAAAP NY events and programs for years and have greatly benefited from this amazing organization. I am honored to be part of the leadership team and to be able to make an impact on the organization and the people that it touches. It has been an amazing experience to meet and work with other volunteers with so much talent and passion in building an ecosystem that provides opportunities for the AAPI professionals to connect and grow.

I am passionate about connecting with and serving the AAPI community through NAAAP NY. There are so many opportunities within the organization not only to give back and uplift the community but also to work with individuals from a diverse set of professional backgrounds while doing so. I am excited at the opportunity to positively influence the community through NAAAP NY. The mission resonates with me soundly. I want to be at the forefront of empowering AAPI leaders and giving them the access / tools in order to succeed. I’ve been involved with the organization for a little over a year and have already seen all the positives they have implemented into the community. Anula Aboobacker
Chief of Staff
Driven by a desire to give back to the Asian American community, I have joined NAAAP New York, where I aim to make a positive impact and support the community. With over ten years of experience in scientific and clinical staffing, I am a passionate professional based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Currently, I am contributing to Takeda, where I oversee Talent Acquisition Strategies for the US region. My academic background includes a Masters degree from Bharathiar University.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I hold several certifications, including Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Executive Influence. I am also actively involved in volunteer work, serving as a DE&I Catalyst at Takeda and previously coordinating for the Mentorship program for the Tri-State Diversity Council.
Beyond my career, I have a deep love for cooking, design, and exploring new restaurants. I enjoy spending my free time indulging in these passions, which bring a balance to my life and fuel my creativity.

I am proud to be a part of NAAAP through my role as Co-Director of Marketing. Joining the organization in early 2024, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the positive impact NAAAP continues to have on the AAPI community. I am excited to build my network and collaborate with our driven leadership team on the many exciting events we have planned.
My current hobbies are: pottery, pet-sitting, and swimming.

Xiaoying Su

I have been looking for ways to serve my community, and NAAAP weighed in with this platform for me. Encouraged by the inclusive, innovative, and proactive environment within NAAAP, I am striving to make a positive impact on Asian American, especially Asian women and femmes, by equipping mainly NYC-based professional and personal leaders with professional skills, confidence, and resources while contributing my experience in women’s rights, social justice and leadership.

I graduated from Stony Brook University with a bachelor’s in chemical engineering in 2017. I have been working in the utility industry ever since in various engineering roles. I am active in various employee resource groups and discovered NAAAP through one of them. As I learned more about NAAAP through the events I participated in, I gained an interest in volunteering so I can give back to the community. I enjoy doing yoga, listening to audiobooks, and hanging out with my cat Tofu in my free time.
