NAAAP-NY Pride 2023

NAAAP NY Pride committee partnered with NAARAK, a local Queer API event group, to celebrate Pride 2023 at High Bar in June. NAAAP NY Pride also partnered with Local Roots, a farm to shop venue in Brooklyn, to celebrate Pride in July and highlight individuals from our community that followed non-traditional career paths. Our two guest speakers were Vanity LaVain, a local half-Filipino drag professional, and Hung Vanngo, a makeup artist personally working with A List celebrities. Vanity did a performance which was followed up by Q&As with both her and Hung to explore their journeys to how they got to where they are now.
